Perez and Magnussen to start Abu Dhabi GP from back of grid after power unit updates

Sakhir Grand Prix race winner Sergio Perez will start the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from the back of the grid, along with Haas driver Kevin Magnussen, after both took new power unit components outside of their allocations.
Racing Point’s Perez - starting his last race for the team - will use a fourth internal combustion engine, MGU-H and turbocharger, which means he's accumulated more than 15-places' worth of grid penalties and will start at the rear.
Perez used an older engine in the Sakhir Grand Prix, which he won in a spectacular last-to-first recovery.

Magnussen missed FP1 but Perez (above) took part in the session with his new engine parts.
Magnussen, in his last race for Haas before moving Stateside to race sports cars, has a third energy store and third control electronics of the season in his car. That means he will join Perez on the back row on Sunday.
The Danish driver missed FP1 as 2021 Haas driver Mick Schumacher practised in his place.
Ferrari's Charles Leclerc also has a three-place grid penalty for the race, after a Lap 1 collision at Sakhir.
